Responsibilities
The Intermediate Contracting Administrator will support the Department of the Air Force’s contracting requirements by managing the day-to-day operations of contract administration. This role entails assisting in the drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of contractual documents, modifications, and renewals, while maintaining detailed records and documentation of all contracting activities. You will ensure that every contracting action complies with FAR, DFARS, and Air Force guidelines, and actively identify process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with senior contracting personnel and coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth contract execution. Additionally, you will contribute to the training and development of junior team members in contracting processes and compliance procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
Certifications:
- Must possess FAI/DAU Contracting Officer Representative (COR) Certification.
Experience:
- Demonstrated experience as a 1102 Job Series, Contracting Officer with an active Warrant, Contracting Specialist, or Contracting Officer Representative.
- Demonstrated background as a Contract Specialist with hands-on experience in contract management.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of federal acquisition regulations and contracting processes.
