Description

Potomac Management Solutions, LLC, has an immediate need for an Adjudication Program Manager to work remote in support of Personnel Security Adjudication for a Federal agency in the Northern Virginia / Springfield area.  Candidates must be experienced in managing background adjudications in the federal sector  with responsibility over the adjudication process and managing other background adjudicators and support staff.  Must have an active TS/SCI Clearance 
Managing Adjudicator Responsibilities are as follows:

  • Serve as mentor/senior advisors to Personnel Security Adjudicators and Assistants.
  • Perform quality review of contract adjudicator work as the overseeing Program Manager.
  • Will act as supervisor of staff, responsible for all administrative, performance, and/or personnel issues that can jeopardize acceptable performance on the Contract and must be qualified to perform adjudications, if needed.
  • Reconciliation of staff weekly timesheets.
  • Evaluate reports of investigations, interpret, and apply adjudicative guidelines, and author written documentation that clearly cites finding and justifies recommendations for eligibility determinations for access to SCI classified information consistent with the interest of national security.
  • Review investigative documents to identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, and areas of potentially requiring clarification or additional investigation; author written documentation that clearly cites results of review and recommended courses of action.
  • Consults with on-site Government, security officials, and/or eternal Agencies as necessary to identify and resolve personnel security related issues as a subject matter expert.

Managing Adjudicator Qualifications:

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have an active TS/SCI Clearance 
  •  Five (5) years of experience adjudicating suitability and security background investigations
  • Must have 3 years managing and supervising Adjudicators and Assistants
  • No more than a 10% rejection error rate involving case return for omission of pertinent content per quarter. Experience as an investigator may not be substituted nor combined for adjudication experience
  • Experienced user of NP2 Suite applications, with special emphasis on e-QIP and CVS.
  • Must have no less than two (2) years senior-level adjudication (suitability and security) experience. The Managing Adjudicator’s adjudication experience must be within the last year. Experience as a background investigator may not be substituted nor combined for adjudication experience.
  • Must have knowledge and implementation of regulations and professional standards for adjudicating background investigations.
  • Must have successfully completed and received a certificate in Management of the Personnel Security Program Course, Basic Suitability Adjudication Course or the Advanced Suitability Course. Courses and/or certificates must be from an accredited institution and/or training organization recognized by the Federal Government.
